Precision machined, hardened steel spur, with a blackened finish that improves lubricity (the capacity to reduce friction) and anti-galling (metal cracking/breaking from friction) characteristics resulting in better mating surfaces and smoother running gears.
SOLID BILLET ALUMINUM BACKPLATE
The backplate is 100% machined from airplane grade solid billet aluminum making it very strong and very hard. It will not warp or break. The backplate uses a captured design to hold the extra thick slipper pad solidly in place.
EXTRA HARD HIGH CARBON STEEL MOTOR PINION
You're going to need a pinion gear to match this brute so we've added a 13 Tooth Extra Hard High Carbon Steel Motor Pinion (RRP #8613) to get you started. The pinion is 5MM bore but we also include an RRP #1200 5mm to 1/8 inch aluminum reducer sleeve just in case. One 4 m/m set screw included. 2 m/m allen wrench (NOT INCLUDED) fits the 4 m/m set screw.
