Constructo 1/35 Halifax

Halifax, was purchased 12 October 1768 by the British Royal Navy for coastal patrol in North America in the years immediately prior to Larevolucion American.

 

History:
It was a schooner built in 1765 in Halifax, Nova Scotia for commercial service between Boston and Halifax.
The Nova Scotia Packet owner was Joseph Grey, conducted his first trip from October 15, 1765, under the command of Benjamin Green Jnr, weather permitting, sailing every eight days between Halifax and Boston.
In July 1768, he was chartered by Commodore Samuel Hood in Halifax to carry dispatches from Portsmouth, England.
Hood also recommended the acquisition of the schooner, purchased by the Royal Navy and renamed to Halifax.
Its first Commander was Lieutenant Samuel Scott, who sailed back to North America in January 1769.
After an active career on the coast of North America, ran the news of his shipwreck on February 15, 1775, made not tested since a schooner with the same name and features participated in the fleet of Henry Mowat quequemo the town of Falmouth (current Portland, Maine) on October 18, 1775.
Between the colonies, the news of the attack led to the rejection of British authority and the establishment of independent Governments.

 

It contains the traditional construction kit. It's a boat of wood and metal, scale 1:35.
Hollow town with false keel and laser cut ribs.
Parts pre-cut wood, turning brass and pieces in casting for details. Presented in a luxury box with all components classified and sorted for easy location.
Book of instructions in 7 languages: Spanish, English, French, German, Dutch, Italian and Portuguese. Instructions with pictures.
Included also 4 plans with all views and details needed for its construction.
